General Dentistry For the Whole Family: Dental Cleanings and Exams in Flowery Branch, GA
Whether you're in need of a regularly scheduled dental cleaning, an appointment for your child's first dental visit, x-rays, or anything in between, the family at Jason C. Croft DMD, General Family Dentistry, is committed to providing you and your family a caring and compassionate environment for all your dental needs. It's important to maintain good oral hygiene through regular dental exams and cleanings.
Poor oral hygiene can lead to a variety of dental and medical problems such as gum disease, infection, bone loss, heart disease, strokes and more. Your initial visit to our office will include x-rays, an oral cancer screening, gum disease evaluation, examination of any tooth decay, examination of existing dental work, and fluoride treatment.
Root canal therapy is needed when the nerve of a tooth is affected by decay or infection. In order to save the tooth, the pulp (the living tissue inside the tooth), nerves, bacteria and any decay are removed and the resulting space is filled with specially medicated dental materials, which restore the tooth to its full function.
Having a root canal done on a tooth is the treatment of choice to save a tooth that otherwise would die and have to be removed. Many patients believe that removing a problem tooth is the solution, but what is not realized is that extracting (pulling) a tooth will ultimately be costlier and cause significant problems for adjacent teeth.
Gum Recession Treatment: Pinhole Surgical Technique
Our advanced Pinhole Gum Rejuvenation Surgical Technique is a suture- and scalpel-free alternative to treating gum recession.
In the past, in order to treat gum recession patients were forced to undergo invasive and painful procedures that involved the removal of gum tissue from one area, which is then grafted over areas where tissue has receded. With the Pinhole Surgical Technique, we use a tiny needle to loosen and guide healthy tissue over the teeth without the need for incisions and sutures. This advanced technique is proven to provide comparable results, with a greatly improved patient experience, faster recovery and immediate results.
Benefits of the Pinhole Surgical Technique:
- Minimal discomfort post-operation
- No need for incisions or scalpels
- No need to remove donor tissue
- Faster recovery and immediate results
- No uncomfortable sutures
- Long-lasting and natural looking results
What do our patients have to say about our care?
"I have to admit I'm an emotional person when it comes to getting any work done and Dr. Croft made a special call to me following my visit on Tuesday. Such concern and care as to how I was feeling both emotional and pain wise. I've never had a dentist office call me, especially the dentist himself. If anyone is looking for a caring office...Dr. Croft is the place to go. Thanks again!" Jill
